TRUST & RESPONSIBILITY
Is VirtualMasst Legit? How Trust and Responsibility Work
Before you hire or accept a job through VirtualMasst, you can see how account checks, profile approval and payments work.
The VirtualMasst team reviews and approves talent profiles.
Stripe carries out identity, banking and compliance checks.
The employer chooses who to hire and approves the completed work.
DEFINITION
What VirtualMasst is and is not
What it is
- A B2B platform connecting employers directly with independent talents
- A platform where employers can post jobs or explore talent profiles
- A platform where the VirtualMasst team reviews and approves talent profiles
- A platform that facilitates job pre-funding and payment through Stripe
How the roles are divided
- VirtualMasst is not a recruitment or staffing agency
- The employer chooses the talent
- The contract for the work is between the employer and the talent
- The employer approves the completed work
- Funds are held within the Stripe payment flow until release
THE CHECKS
What profile and identity checks cover
Profile and business details
The VirtualMasst team checks:
- ID
- Pictures
- Phone number
- Address
- Business number
- Whether the CV and portfolio are available
An incomplete profile is not approved.
Stripe onboarding
Stripe carries out identity, banking and compliance checks, including Know Your Customer (KYC), before anyone can be paid.
Profile approval
The VirtualMasst team reviews and approves the talent profile before it becomes visible on the platform.
Talents must keep their Business number and professional details up to date and inform the VirtualMasst team when relevant details change.
YOUR DECISION
What stays your decision
VirtualMasst completes the platform checks. Further checks are the employer’s duty.
What the checks do not confirm
- That a talent is right for your particular job
- That deliverables are complete, accurate and current
- That a job will be delivered on time or to your required standard
- A talent’s reliability, communication style or quality of delivery
The employer decides who to hire.
PRE-FUNDING
How jobs are pre-funded
The employer pays upfront by credit card or bank transfer through Stripe.
Funds are held within the Stripe payment flow until release, and the employer releases payment after confirming the work is complete. For larger jobs, the employer can decide to split the work into several projects. The full sequence, including project pre-funding and payouts, is on How it works.
YOUR CHECKS
