EMPLOYERS

Business requirements

Employer accounts are for businesses hiring independent talents.

Where local law requires business registration, the employer must have a lawful business registration.

Registration information can include:

Legal business name
Business number
Business address
Account contact
Any additional documents requested as part of the applicable verification process

There are no separate verification rules for company accounts.

One company account can be used for multiple jobs. A company can also register different department accounts.

You work independently

You provide your services as an independent freelancer or consultant, in your own name or through your business.

Stripe operates in your country

Talents outside the EU can join where Stripe operates.

Stripe carries out the required identity, banking and compliance checks before anyone can be paid.

Your profile is reviewed

The VirtualMasst team reviews and approves talent profiles.

An incomplete profile is not approved.

Talents across Europe can use VirtualMasst’s PEPPOL invoicing when required.

PAYMENT CHECKS

Stripe and Know Your Customer (KYC)

Stripe carries out identity, banking and compliance checks before anyone can be paid.

Depending on the country, additional documents may be requested.

Funds are held within the Stripe payment flow until release.

Employers pay upfront by credit card or bank transfer through Stripe.

VirtualMasst platform fees apply to employers and talents.

The employer chooses the talent, manages the collaboration and approves the completed work.

For larger jobs, the employer can decide to split the work into several projects. Each project can be pre-funded, approved and released separately.

ACCOUNT DETAILS

Keep the account tied to the contracting party

Register the business that contracts

Use the business that will agree the work, pay or issue the invoice.

If you operate through your own company, use that company’s details.

Keep the details current

Keep the Business number, address and other professional information current.

Talents must inform the VirtualMasst team when relevant details change and update their profile and CV with completed work.

One account is permitted per user.

FINAL CHECK

Review your account before your first job

Check that:

Your business details are current
Your Business number is correct
Your account contact is correct
Required Stripe onboarding is complete
Talent profile information is complete
Talent payout details provided to Stripe are current
