There are two ways to connect with freelancers on VirtualMasst:

• Direct Applications – After posting a job, you’ll receive applications from interested freelancers. You can review their profiles, experience, and portfolios, then communicate with them via chat to assess fit before making an offer.

• Proactive Search – You can also browse freelancer profiles and contact those who match your requirements directly, even before receiving applications.

In both cases, selection is entirely up to you—based on the freelancer’s qualifications, communication, and alignment with your project needs.

What types of working arrangements can I have with freelancers?

You can choose from several flexible working arrangements based on your project needs and preferences. Most freelancers prefer to work remotely, often from different countries or regions, giving you access to skilled professionals from around the world. Common arrangements include:

• Remote work – allowing freelancers to work from anywhere. It’s ideal for businesses seeking help outside of their region, flexibility and a broader range of expertise.

• One-time projects – best for short-term needs or specific deliverables with a clear end date.

• Ongoing or long-term work – great for consistent support, extended collaborations, or evolving projects.

• Hybrid arrangements – a mix of remote and in-person work when proximity allows, suitable for businesses that value occasional face-to-face interaction.

How do I pay freelancers?

Once you’ve selected a freelancer and agreed on the terms, all payments are made through the VirtualMasst platform using our secure escrow system.

If you’re hiring based on an hourly or daily rate, you’ll be asked to fund the agreed number of hours or days in advance. For fixed-price projects, payment is organized around clearly defined milestones.

The funds are held safely in escrow and are only released when you approve the work. You remain in control—once you’ve reviewed the deliverables and are satisfied, you can manually release the payment by clicking the release button. This process ensures transparency, accountability, and security for both clients and freelancers.

We strongly encourage clients to respect the freelancer’s listed rate, as it reflects their skills and experience. However, rates can be adjusted after open and respectful negotiation, if both parties agree.

What if I'm not satisfied with the work?

If you're not satisfied with the freelancer's work, we strongly encourage open and respectful communication between both parties. Start by clearly explaining your concerns and providing specific, constructive feedback, along with any relevant proof (e.g., missed requirements, low-quality output, or lack of progress).

If, after discussion, the work still does not meet expectations and the issue cannot be resolved, you may choose to end the collaboration. If the work is stopped before the end of a milestone and your justification is valid, you are free to search for another freelancer to complete the task.

Please note that any reimbursement or partial refund is handled at the sole discretion of VirtualMasst, based on a careful review of the situation.
