How VirtualMasst Verification Works

VirtualMasst uses account checks, Stripe verification and profile review before employers and talents work together.

  • Business number checked for self-employed users
  • Stripe carries out identity, banking and compliance checks
  • Talent profiles are reviewed and approved by the VirtualMasst team
  • The employer makes the final hiring decision
Platform review

What VirtualMasst reviews

The VirtualMasst team reviews talent profiles before they become visible to employers.

Business number

The Business number is checked as part of the verification process.

Talent profile review

The checks cover:

  • The professional profile, with a CV
  • Applicable business information, such as VAT or company registration

The VirtualMasst team reviews the profile and approves it accordingly.

Account requirements

At sign-up, users accept the General Terms, Privacy Policy and Data Processing Terms.

International talents

Talents from outside the EU can join where Stripe operates in their country.

Identity

Identity and Know Your Customer (KYC)

Stripe carries out identity, banking and compliance checks before anyone can be paid.

Employers

Employers must have a lawful business registration where their local law requires one.

Identity verification may be required to meet KYC obligations, and additional documents may be requested depending on the country.

Talents

Stripe carries out the identity, banking and compliance checks required before a talent can be paid.

Talents outside the EU can join where Stripe operates in their country.

Profile

Profile completeness

Before a talent profile becomes visible to employers, it is reviewed by the VirtualMasst team and approved accordingly.

An incomplete profile is not approved.

The review includes the talent’s:

  • The professional profile, with a CV
  • Applicable business information, such as VAT or company registration

Experience

Portfolio and experience evidence

A talent may include professional information in their profile, but profile approval should not be described as verification of every professional claim.

VirtualMasst checks whether a CV and portfolio are available. It does not state that every qualification, portfolio item or professional claim has been independently verified.

The employer remains responsible for deciding whether a talent is right for the job.

Your decision

What stays with the employer

The final project decision remains with the employer

The employer decides whether the talent’s profile, experience and fit are suitable for the job.

Further checks are the employer’s duty.

Business accounts

Business registration and account checks

Employers participate as businesses.

Where local law requires business registration, the employer must have a lawful business registration.

The Business number is checked as part of verification.

Identity verification may also be required for KYC purposes, and additional documents may be requested depending on the country.

Company accounts

There are no separate verification rules for company accounts.

The same company can use one account with one login for multiple jobs.

The same company can also register different department accounts.

Employer review

What remains the employer’s decision

VirtualMasst completes the checks described on this page. Further checks are the employer’s duty.

An employer can decide what additional evidence matters for the job, including qualifications, licences, references, portfolio evidence or sector-specific credentials.

The employer chooses who to hire.

Talent information

Keeping professional information current

Talents must keep their Business number and professional details up to date.

The VirtualMasst team must be informed when relevant details change.

Talents must also update their profile and CV with work completed.

Profile review does not state that a candidate is competent

A talent profile can be reviewed and approved without stating that the candidate is competent.

What VirtualMasst checks

  • The professional profile, with a CV
  • Applicable business information, such as VAT or company registration
  • Whether the profile is complete enough to be approved

What remains in the hands of the hiring company

  • A coherent, checkable work history
  • Reliability
  • Communication style
  • Quality of delivery
  • And more...

The hiring company decides whether the talent is suitable for the job.

Hiring decision

When you need more evidence

VirtualMasst does not use a paid diagnostic as part of verification.

You either hire or you don’t.

The employer can review the profile, start a conversation and carry out any further checks needed before making the hiring decision.
