  • Completing a complex migration without data loss
  • Improving a process

Keep your expertise clear

Focus your profile on the services, experience and outcomes that best represent your professional work.

Accepting the offer

Respond when an employer contacts you

Accepting an offer

When an employer invites you to a job, review the scope, project structure, timing and commercial agreement.

If everything is clear and aligned with your expectations, you can accept the offer.

Acceptance confirms that you agree to the job, timeline and rate and that you are ready to begin once pre-funding is in place.

Declining an offer

If the job does not fit your expertise, availability or professional direction, you can decline it.

Declining means you are not taking the job and allows the employer to continue with other talents.

Before you begin

Prepare your profile and professional details

  • Know your professional rate, availability and working rhythm
  • Keep your Business number and professional details up to date
  • Keep your profile and CV updated with completed work
  • Have your invoicing details ready
  • Present the experience and outcomes most relevant to your expertise
  • Confirm whether your preferred work setup is on site, remote or hybrid
Independence

Keep your professional profile current

Your profile should continue to reflect your independent professional experience as your work develops.

1

Add relevant completed work

Use completed jobs to strengthen the professional evidence shown in your profile and CV.

2

Keep your expertise focused

Update the profile when your main services, experience or professional direction changes.

3

Keep your availability current

Make it easier for employers to understand whether your availability fits the timing of a job.

4

Invoice the employer

You invoice the employer in your own name. Where applicable, invoices can be created and sent through VirtualMasst’s PEPPOL network.

Your next step

Create your professional profile

Focus your profile on the work you do best, your experience and the outcomes you have delivered. A clear profile helps relevant employers understand your expertise and decide whether to contact you.
